Iran's Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi issued the directive for the beginning of the country's 14th presidential election process.
The interior minister ordered the latter to set up election headquarters and called on the former to form the relevant executive bodies across the country within 3 days, starting from Sunday, and implement other necessary measures in their respective provinces according to the schedule set for the election process.
Iran's Election Headquarters announced that the candidates' registration process would begin as of May 30 for five days until June 3.
Following the registration, candidates will have to conduct electoral campaigns from June 12 to 27, and the election will be held on June 28.
On May 19, Iran's late President Ebrahim Raisi and his entourage died in a helicopter crash.
