A ceremony of signing documents on financing the construction of the third airport in Turkey has been held in Istanbul. Only local banks took part in financing the construction.
Turkey’s Ziraat Bankasi will allocate 1.54 billion euros, while Halkbank and Vakifbank - 1 billion euros, Denizbank - 500 million euros, Garanti and Finansbank - 300 million euros.
The loan has been allocated for 16 years with grace period of four years, Trend reports.
The third airport is being built near the Lake Terkos in the north of Istanbul, it will be commissioned in early 2018.
