Long-awaited opening of Krasnodar airport: tourist flow expected to increase by one-third

Tourist arrivals declined in 2022 due to the closure of Krasnodar’s airport and again in summer 2025 because of an environmental emergency in Anapa.

Industry experts predict a significant recovery in tourism with the airport’s reopening. The Federal Air Transport Agency confirmed readiness for operations starting September 11, with the first regular flight scheduled for September 13.

According to the director of the Association of Travel Aggregators Alexander Bragi, the tourist flow in Kuban may become extremely high for the first time in several years - 35%.
