Several important projects are scheduled for completion this year, Kazakh Minister of Transport Marat Karabayev said.
In particular, еhe longest road tunnel in Kazakhstan will be put into operation in July.
The tunnel spanning 840 meters is located on the Shakpak Baba pass in the Turkistan region.
"The tunnel will allow drivers to move freely in winter," Karabayev said.
