The 15th Summer European Youth Olympic Festival is very well organized, champion of the competitions in judo in the 73 kg category Luigi Kentraccio told in an interview with Vestnik Kavkaza.
"Organization is very good. I know that Azerbaijan is very strong in judo. World Championship was held here last year, so everything is really good," he said.
According to the athlete, he wasn't very worried because he had previously participated in the European Championship. "I wanted to improve my result at these competitions. And I did it, I won gold. I was sure I was going to win," he said.
The XV Summer European Youth Olympic Festival is being held in Baku on July 21-27. The festival will be attended by more than 3,900 athletes from 48 European countries. Athletes will compete in ten kinds of sports - gymnastics, athletics, basketball, cycling, handball, judo, swimming, tennis, volleyball and wrestling. In total, athletes will compete for 135 sets of medals.
