President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko met with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Minsk, Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei said noting that the main topic of the discussion was the search of ways for the country's interaction with the NATO bloc.
The Belarusian Minister noted that the meeting was held in an atmosphere of absolute trust and mutual understanding. The parties discussed a wide range of issues in bilateral relations. “In particular, an exchange of views took place on the situation in the region and on the prospects for Belarus’s interaction with NATO. The intention of Belarus to make efforts to maintain peace and security on the continent was noted,” TASS quotes Makei as saying.
