The US Embassy in Belarus sent an invitation to the President of the country Alexander Lukashenko to attend the ceremony commemorating the centennial of the United States' entry into the Great War, the US diplomatic mission in Minsk said.
"President Lukashenko, along with heads of other countries which were involved in the First World War, was invited to participate in the ceremony commemorating the centennial of the United States' entry into the Great War," the diplomatic mission said.
The embassy specified that the ceremony will be held in Kansas City on April 6.
On June 10 2016, the US President Barack Obama sanctions against Belarusian authorities extended for a year, including the head of state.
