Any gymnastics competition held in Baku becomes a holiday, the head coach of the Belarusian rhythmic gymnastics national team, Lubov Cherkashina, said on the fields of the FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku.
“Baku is almost like a home for us. In fact, we have only pleasant impressions from a large number of competitions in Baku. Regardless of what teams perform, this is a holiday, this is happiness,” the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza quotes her as saying.
“The gymnastics world is sure that no matter what the tournament is held, whether this is the World Championships or the European Championships, it will be held here at a high level,” Lyubov Cherkashina noted.
"In the modern world, it is important that everything is organized at the highest level. Gymnasts should know where they go, who leads them, how many carpets they have and so on. Therefore, I think that the World Cup (in September - VK) and the European Championship (in May) will be held by Azerbaijan with flying colors, "the head coach of the Belarusian rhythmic gymnastics national team said.
Answering the question of the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza, the coach expressed the opinion that the holding of the F1 Azerbaijan GP in the center of Baku is fantastic. “I’m surprised how you can organize everything. I plunged into this atmosphere last year. I don’t drive a car at all. I realized that you have a lot of events going on when I couldn’t buy a direct flight ticket back to St. Petersburg and had to purchase a ticket via Antalya, "- she said.
