French President Emmanuel Macron has officially confirmed his plans to run for a second term in office at the presidential election scheduled for April 2022. The letter in which Macron announces his decision was published by regional media outlets in France.
"I ask for your confidence for a new presidential mandate," says the message, cited by Journal de Saone-et-Loire, among others.
