French President Emmanuel Macron said that it is necessary to continue negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, he told the France Inter radio station on Friday.
"I think it is our duty to continue negotiations with President Putin. There is only one communication channel, and it needs to be maintained," Macron said. In his opinion, continuing the negotiations "will help to save lives."
He also noted that if France does not hold dialogue with the Russian leader, then "China and Turkey will become parties to the negotiations."
