An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale hit an area on the border between Iran’s northeastern provinces of Semnan and Golestan on Sunday, a local official said, adding that it has left no casualties, Tasnim News Agency reports.
Speaking to the Tasnim News Agency, Head of the Crisis Management Department of Semnan Province Iraj Raeesian said the temblor jolted the border areas of the Semnan and Golestan provinces in the early hours of Sunday.
Rescue teams from the Crisis Management Department are present at the scene, he said, adding that no casualties have been reported so far.
