The grand unveiling of the main Christmas tree took place today in Dagestan. In addition to a 32-meter spruce, LED garlands and an 'I love Makhachkala' art object, rides for children and shops that sell refreshments and hot beverages appeared on the square.
The unveiling of the Christmas tree started at 12:00 PM. Students of the municipal children's art schools, soloists of the Philharmonic Children's Culture Department of Makhachkala, and the vocal and dance ensemble 'Children of the Mountains', 'Prestige', 'Camerata' and the combined ensemble of Russian song performed at the event. Guests of the festival could see performances, prepared by the Makhachkala Department of Culture, cultural and leisure centers and participate in various games and competitions, RIA Dagestan reports.
