The Iranian parliament on Sunday approved the double urgency of a bill urging the government to demand compensations from the US for damage inflicted on Iran because of its crimes and actions, IRNA reports.
216 parliament members voted for the bill of whom 181 were in favor of the bill.
An introduction to the bill said the US has committed many evil actions to take possession of Iran’s blocked assets out of the country and intends to confiscate them using court verdicts.
It said Iran has so far fallen short of taking due action in this regard despite witnessing the ever increasing number of such verdicts or bills by the US Congress.
The parliamentarians also urged the government to demand compensations for freeing of American spies who were released based on the content of the Algeria Accord despite clear espionage charges against them and also the payment of over two billion dollars for the hollow accusation of involvement in bombing incidents in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia in 1983 and 1996 respectively.
