A poll conducted by the Russia Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) said that most of the respondents (54%) regularly check weather forecasts. 27% of the respondents check it only sometimes. 70% of people aged over 60 and only 24% of those aged between 18 and 21 watch meteorological forecasts on a daily basis.
Two-thirds of the survey participants (67%) noted that in most cases, weather forecasts turn out to be accurate (75% among those who regularly monitor weather reports), 30% disagree.
56% of the respondents said they trust weather forecast. At the same time, those who regularly monitor forecasts have a confidence level almost twice as high (65%) as those who do not care about such information (35%).
The poll was conducted among 1200 Russian people on July 16-17.
