Serious agreements can be reached at the upcoming meeting of the Russian and Belarusian presidents, Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei said in an interview with RBC. According to him, protests within Belarus and events outside of it are pushing Minsk to closer integration with Moscow.
"The latest events that are taking place inside and around our countries can and will certainly push us towards closer integration processes in a bilateral format and sooner or later in a multilateral format within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union," the minister said.
On February 12, Makei said a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko was scheduled for the end of February.
