A statue of outstanding Azerbaijani statesman and politician Aziz Aliyev will be erected in Makhachkala.
The statue will be surrounded by a garden. The project will be completed by next spring, Trend reports.
Aziz Aliyev served as Azerbaijani Minister of Health, the secretary of the Azerbaijan SSR Supreme Soviet, the Secretary of the Dagestan Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and the highest authority in the Dagestan ASSR in different years.
