The Georgian Foreign Minister, Mikheil Dzhanelidze, has held a telephone conversation with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Elmar Mammadyarov. The Georgian politician expressed his concern over the escalation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and stressed the need to resolve it, a corresponding message was issued by the Georgian Foreign Ministry
"Mikheil Janelidze stressed that it is important to cease hostilities. The Georgian Foreign Minister expressed hope that, with the help of the international community, it will be possible to achieve a de-escalation of the situation, which is very important for stability in the region," haqqin.az cites the text of the document.
The Ministry added that Dzhanelidze also plans to hold a telephone conversation with his Armenian counterpart, Edward Nalbandian.
