Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov will pay an official visit to Moscow on March 6-7 at an invitation of his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.
According to her, the visit will be timed to the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Azerbaijan that will be marked on April 4.
During the visit, Mammadyarov is expected to have negotiations with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, meet with the Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin and the Deputy Chairperson of the Council of the Federation Ilyas Umakhanov, Zakharova added.
She said that Mammadyarov will also deliver a speech at the Diplomatic Academy of Russian Foreign Ministry.
Foreign ministers of Russia and Azerbaijan will discuss a wide range of issues of bilateral relations, regional and international agenda, Trend reported.
