Police have detained a young man for murdering an 8-year-old girl in Gori town, - Deputy Interior Minister Kakha Sabanadze said, InterPressNews reported.
“I offer my condolences to the family, this is a great tragedy for Georgia. A special investigation team of the Interior Ministry and the representatives of Shida Kartli District Police have identified the person, I.N., who has committed this crime. As a result of operative measures and the obtained evidence I.N. is detained,” the Interior Minister said.
According to him, the investigation is in progress. The detainee is a 33-year-old man.
