Man found dead at Abovyan school yard

A murder took place in Kotayk Province yesterday evening, the Armenian Investigative Committee's press service reported.

At around 11:00pm local time, the local police received a call that there was a man’s dead body at the yard of school in Abovyan.

According to the source, the murder victim was Vazgen Gevorgyan (born in 1985).

A knife was found near the victim, there were also blood traces, as well as a slipper at the scene. A machine gun cartridge was also detected.

A criminal case has been initiated into this incident, Shamshyan.com reported.
