Man to stand trial for attacking police officer in Tbilisi

A Tbilisi resident attacked a police officer, according to the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The attack occurred on Ketevan Dedopali Street, where the man assaulted an on-duty officer with a bladed weapon.

The injured officer was hospitalized. The officer remains under medical observation in stable condition.

Authorities detained the attacker immediately following the incident. He could face up to 11 years imprisonment.
