Russia's Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov said that acquisition by the government of a part of Russian car producer GAZ Group has not been considered.
"This scenario has not been discussed, taking into account the fact that the company is working uninterruptedly," the Prime news agency cited Manturov as saying.
"That’s why the issue was not on the agenda today, the minister said, adding that shareholder Oleg Deripaska has not turned to the government for consultations.
Earlier it was reported that Deripaska could quit a controlling stake in GAZ Group in order to release the company from U.S. sanctions.
