Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili has climbed one of the unnamed mountains in Georgia and named it after the Georgian Constitution, Agenda.ge reports.

Margvelashvili, together with his 79-year-old trainer, reached the summit of the 3,170m mountain in Kazbegi, near the ski resort of Gudauri in the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range.

"We wanted to gives this summit the name of a very important thing for us – our Constitution, which should be everyone’s tool and a book used by everyone”, Margvelashvili said. "That’s why we chose a mountain that would not be difficult to climb and which has its own beauty – you can see the beautiful Mount Kazbek from there and a charming panorama”.

He added that now that the mountain is named after the Georgian Constitution, he hopes that many alpinists, tourists and people with healthy lifestyle will climb it together with a guide.
