Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili congratulated Muslims living in this country on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, wishing them prosperity, happiness and peace of mind.
"I cordially congratulate you on Eid al-Adha, which is a holiday of peace, support, hope and victory of good over evil," the president said.
According to a survey of the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Sakstat), 398,677 Muslims live in Georgia for today. Currently, more than 250 mosques operate in Georgia. About 100 of them have already been transferred to the ownership of the Muslim community. Work continues on the inclusion of the other mosques in the disposal of Muslims, Sputnik Georgia reports.
