Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili wonders why they cannot reform the country's electoral system today, if the entire political spectrum agrees that it is needed.
"I think these questions are winning for the Georgian political spectrum and the authorities. We attached a particular actualization to this issue, we created a format that non-governmental organizations and political opposition united behind a single vision," he reminded.
According to the President, Georgian politicians have never been able to reach such an agreement. "Everyone agrees what system is the best, the date is the only problem. This is a matter in connection with which it is possible to come to a common denominator with the Prime Minister and the ruling coalition. It is necessary to find a compromise. If we know what is best, why couldn't it happen today," Georgia Online cited Margvelashvili as asking.
