President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili met with US senators and congressmen in Brussels before his visit to the United States, InterPressNews reported.
As InterPressNews was told by the presidential administration, Giorgi Margvelashvili talked about the challenges of national and regional security at the meeting with members of the Senate and House of Representatives.
Particular attention was paid to the prospects of Georgia's Atlantic integration and the sides discussed the next NATO Summit.
The President of Georgia addressed US Senators and Congressmen with a request to pay particular attention to the issue of Georgia at the 2018 NATO summit. It was also noted at the meeting that the United States has a special role in providing security guarantees in the region.
