Maria Lon: Baku is a very beautiful city

Belarusian trampolinist Maria Lon has described Baku as a very beautiful city with interesting architecture.

‘‘I liked the tongues of flame very much,’’ she said.

"There are good sporting halls in the National Gymnastics Arena. I especially liked the competition hall, because the purple color makes it brighter and it looks more festive. But the gym is full of a pleasing training atmosphere,’’ a correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza cites Maria Lon as saying.

The next scheduled event for the Belarusian athlete is the European Championships, which are to be held in Spain in Valladolid. ‘‘I am going to achieve my best results. At least, I will try,’’ Maria Lon said.
