Maria Zakharova: it is necessary to resume peace process in Karabakh

Baku and Yerevan must resume the negotiation process on Nagorno-Karabakh, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told a press briefing.

"What is happening in Nagorno-Karabakh now confirms our thesis that it is especially important to demonstrate restraint and move toward restoring stability.It is necessary to resume the negotiations process for long-term settlement," a correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza cited her as saying.

"The priority task now is to calm the situation, to prevent another bloodshed and launch negotiations process. These are fundamentally important things," the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted.
