At this year's UN General Assembly session the Russian delegation will pursue a conflict resolution policy through political and diplomatic means, while respecting the sovereignty and the right of peoples to determine their own path of development, as well as policy of search for collective responses to global and regional challenges based on the principle of equal and indivisible security, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said during a weekly briefing.
"The agenda of the session includes 170 items in such areas as the promotion of economic growth, sustainable development, peace and security, the rule of law and respect for human rights, disarmament, drug control, crime prevention and fight against international terrorism, of course," the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza cited her as saying.
Maria Zakharova also clarified that this year the Russian delegation will be led by the Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
