Further settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will be based on creative ideas, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova said at a weekly briefing, answering question from Vestnik Kavkaza about new ideas for future negotiations between Baku and Yerevan, voiced week ago by Sergey Lavrov after negotiations with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
Maria Zakharova explained that during that meeting, Lavrov and Aliyev talked about future of the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement after Armenia will finally have legitimate authorities. “They spoke about the future, noting that there will be new ideas and that they will be creative,” she said.
According to official spokeswoman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, active work to come up with such ideas is underway. “These elaborated, creative ideas will be supported. Right now experts are working on this,” Maria Zakharova noted.
