Traveling to Russia with ultimatums is useless, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said ahead of US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson's meeting with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
"It seems to me that everyone has already understood that it is useless to travel to us with ultimatums, it is simply counterproductive," Zakharova told Russia's Dozhd TV broadcaster.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that she does not think that such statement is an ultimatum. "I see it as a political statement, as a show of muscle before the talks. It quite fits into Washington’s approaches, under many administrations, I think, to the beginning of a negotiating process," she said.
