Azerbaijani athletes Marina Nekrasova and Yulia Inshina have reached the vault finals at the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku.
Marina Nekrasova advanced to the vault finals among women, ranking second with 13.983 points. The best in the qualification was Oksana Chusovitina from Uzbekistan (14.399 points), the third and fourth places were taken by Teja Belak and Tjasa Kysselef from Slovenia (13,4 points and 13.399). Another Azerbaijani gymnast Yulia Inshina ranked fifth with 13.183 points.
The FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup is been held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Azerbaijan on March 15-18. A total of 102 gymnasts from 25 countries are taking part in the competitions.
The qualifying competitions will be held today and tomorrow. The finals in the men's floor exercise, men's parallel bars, men's ring, as well as finals in women's vault and women's horizontal bar will be held on March 17. The finals in the men's vault, men's pommel horse, men's horizontal bar, as well as finals in women's balance beam and women's floor exercise will be held on March 18.
