Expanded access to OPAL gas pipeline will allow Russian Gazprom to supply gas to Europe via the existing gas transportation system, European Commission Vice President Maros Sefcovic said today, Bloomberg reports.
Sefcovic also noted that OPAL pipeline can be used to transport large amounts of gas. "This underlines the fact that current infrastructure is sufficient to supply gas from Russia to Europe," he said.
