At the joint EU and Turkey summit on migration, the head of the European Parliament Martin Schulz stated that it is not necessary to view the issue of Turkey's accession to the European Union and the agreements on migrants together.
"It is obvious that there is an attempt to link the refugee crisis with the process of Turkey's accession to the EU. But it is absolutely clear to the European Parliament that we have to separate the negotiations on accession from the migration crisis," TASS quoted Schultz as saying.
