On Sunday, May 1, the decision to cancel the face mask regime comes into force in Azerbaijan. The corresponding resolution was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers on April 22 due to a significant improvement of the epidemic situation in the country.
According to the document, the requirement to use personal respiratory protection equipment - medical masks, fabric masks, respirators, etc. - is cancelled today. The use of face masks at airports and educational institutions is now advisory.
The mask regime was introduced in Azerbaijan in May 2020. In May 2021, the authorities relaxed the requirement to wear masks outdoors but kept them for indoors.
