Turkey has sent a letter to the UN Security Council with an appeal to discuss the situation with air strikes on the region of residence of the Syrian ethnic Turkmen people immediately, Anadolu reports, citing a source in the government.
The Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu discussed the issue with the head of the US Department of State John Kerry and instructed the Foreign Ministry to strengthen diplomatic efforts in this direction. Contacts with representatives of Russia also continue, Tass reports.
