The match for the Russian Football Super Cup between Spartak Moscow and Zenit St. Petersburg will take place in St. Petersburg on July 9. This is stated in a message posted on the Russian Football Union (RFU) Telegram channel.
This decision was made by the RFU Executive Committee Bureau. The kick-off time and information on ticket sales will be announced later.
Let us remind you that in early June, Spartak appealed to the RFU and the Russian Premier League (RPL) with a request to appoint foreign referees to the game, reschedule the match to July 16 and hold it at the Luzhniki stadium or at a neutral arena.
