Speaker of the Russian Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko has described Putin’s speech to the UN General Assembly as the performance of a world-scale politician.
"The international community was waiting for Vladimir Putin’s speech at the jubilee session with great interest. It means the failure of all attempts by some states to isolate Russia. It hasn't happened. In the eyes of the world community, our state remains one of those states which are responsible for the course of events on the planet. It is impossible to achieve effective solutions to any significant international issues without Russia. Our voice is crucial in world affairs,’’ she said.
