Matviyenko: Russia and Kyrgyzstan have common vision of modern threats

Russia and Kyrgyzstan are efficiently cooperating in the fight against such transnational crime as drug dealing and terrorism, Russia's Federation Council Chairperson Valentina Matviyenko said.

Matvienko explained that very serious cooperation has been developed between the law enforcement agencies and the special services of the two countries both within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and at the bilateral level.

"There are joint mechanisms, joint actions of our law enforcement and security agencies in the fight against the common evil, because it has become clear to everyone that no state, even the most powerful, is not able to combat such challenges as terrorism, cyber crimes, drug trafficking effectively (alone)," TASS cited her as saying.

"With Kyrgyzstan, we have absolute mutual understanding and absolute cooperation in resolving these issues," Matviyenko summed up.
