The Russian Federation Council Speaker, Valentina Matviyenko, expressing her condolences to the Chairman of the French Senate, Gerard Larchet, stated that the terrorist attacks in Paris are a challenge to the whole of humanity.
"With deep sorrow I learned of the horrific terrorist attacks in Paris. Their victims were absolutely innocent people. It is a challenge to the whole of mankind, the entire world civilization," the speaker of the Federation Council said.
She also noted that Russia strongly condemns these crimes, Interfax reported.
