Matviyenko reelected CIS Interparliamentary Assembly speaker

Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko was reelected as head of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Interparliamentary Assembly Council, the upper house press service reported.

"The participants of the meeting approved the agenda of the Assembly's 45th plenary meeting and elected the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly Council chair. Valentina Matviyenko was reelected as head of the Commonwealth's Assembly Council," Interfax cited the Federation Council press release as saying.
