162 civilians have been killed by terrorists since August 16th 2015 in the areas of counter-terrorism operations located in the southeastern provinces of Turkey, the Turkish Foundation for Human Rights (TIHV) reported today.
A large number of civilian casualties occurred after December 11th after the beginning of the active phase of the antiterrorist operation in the cities of Cizre and Silopi in the provinces of Sirnak and Nusaybin in the Mardin province and the district of Sur in Diyarbakir provice. According to the organization, 79 civilians, including 14 children and 18 women, were killed over the last month in these regions, RIA Novosti reports.
