According to Iranian media, Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a letter to Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
The message was delivered by Presidential Special Representative, Alexander Lavrentiev, during his meeting with Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary, Ali Larijani.
During their discussions, Lavrentiev outlined several regional cooperation proposals.
The meeting between the Russian leader's Special representative and the Secretary of the Iranian Security Council took place in Tehran on Tuesday.
