In the near future Russian museums will become free for children under 16, Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky said at a meeting with the Minister of Culture and Art.
"This year we conducted an experiment for the first time. Children under 16 could visit all Russian federal museums free of charge. We have found means to compensate for the costs of the museums. We hope that in the near future all Russian children will have an opportunity to visit Russian museums free of charge,’’ Tass cites Medinsky as saying.
