One of the main tasks for the SCO is the establishment of its financial mechanism, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at the session of SCO prime ministers.
"The expansion of the SCO trade relations would greatly contribute to increasing the share of national currencies. We are working on it. We have launched a pilot project at the Moscow Stock Exchange, it is a pilot platform for trading ruble-yuan and ruble-tenge pairs without the participation of the dollar and we welcome everyone to join such initiatives," RIA Novosti cited him as saying.
The Prime Minister believes that the increase in trade between members of the organization will contribute to the implementation of the program of cooperation between the customs services of the SCO.
In addition, he stressed the need to join efforts in the fight against terrorism.
