Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is celebrating his 50th birthday today. He has worked in Moscow, occupying high positions in the government and the Kremlin, for the last 16 years. Despite the fact that the third Russian president is one of the youngest leaders of the world, he has a very solid experience.
The Prime Minister has repeatedly stressed that the post of leader of the party for him is a big responsibility, and this political structure is a support in the realization of the declared course.
"Work does not allow me to spend much time with my family, and a birthday is a good excuse to get together," TASS cited the premier as saying.
Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia congratulated the Russian Prime Minister. He also said that Medvedev is attentive to the various initiatives of the Russian Orthodox Church, to the preservation of the spiritual, historical and cultural heritage of the country. However, he expressed hope for the continuation of constructive "co-work" of church and the state, and wished the prime minister good health, peace of soul and new good deeds for the benefit of Russia.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko also congratulated the head of the Russian government, noting his contribution to the process of Eurasian integration. "I am sure that your energetic activity in the high office of the President of the Russian government, the understanding of the importance of integration interaction of the countries in the present conditions will continue to contribute to the solving of urgent problems of the Union State construction, strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation of the EEU in the interests of all parties," Interfax cited him as saying.
Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, in his turn, emphasized the vision and energy of Dmitry Medvedev, who played an important role in ensuring the dynamic development of Russia and maintaining its high prestige in the international arena. "I am confident that the high level of trust and mutual understanding between Kazakhstan and Russia will help to strengthen our partnership in future," he added, wishing the Russian prime minister good health, happiness and prosperity.
The head of Ingushetia, Yunus-bek Yevkurov, also expressed his sincere congratulations and best wishes to Dmitry Medvedev . "I wholeheartedly congratulate Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on the occasion of his 50th birthday, whose creative work is a shining example of selfless service to the Fatherland for all Russians," he posted on his Instagram page.
The head of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, Rashid Temrezov, also voiced heartfelt congratulations to the premier. "Your life is an example of true service to the Fatherland. You have always been determined, hard working and precise in fulfilling your duties. I am sure that your personal and professional qualities will help to carry out all our plans for the benefit of the Russian state and its citizens," the message reads.
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, for his part, pointed out that Medvedev's statesmanship has earned the respect of his compatriots and made a weighty contribution to the development of Russian statehood and reinforcement of country’s positions in the international arena. "Armenians hold you in high regard and greatly appreciate your consistency aimed at the development of allied collaboration between Armenia and Russia," he stressed.
"I honestly value our mutual understanding and trust, and I am ready to continue our constructive dialogue to further enrich the Armenian-Russian strategic partnership, with new initiatives and mutually beneficial programs in the interests of prosperity of our countries and brotherly peoples. I sincerely wish you good health, happiness, well-being and successes in all new endeavors," the President of Armenia added.
