The Iranian authorities want to share their experiences of fighting terrorism, which represents a common threat to the whole region now, with the members of the SCO countries, the Iranian ambassador to Russia, Mehdi Sanai, said at the Gaidar Forum at RANHiGS.
"Today extremism and terrorism have become important political and security problems at the regional and global levels. We have fears that extremist elements will have a greater impact on the SCO area, putting serious challenges in the way of the countries of the region," RIA Novosti cites him as saying.
