On her social networks First Vice-President of Azerbaijan, First Lady of the country Mehriban Aliyeva shared a publication dedicated to the Day of the Genocide of Azerbaijanis on March 31, 1918.
"We will not forget the crimes committed against our people, and we will never allow our history to be distorted! May Allah rest the souls of all our martyrs", Mehriban Aliyeva wrote.
The memory of the victims of the Azerbaijani genocide was also commemorated by Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. On his social networks, he posted a post dedicated to the tragic events of March 31, 1918.
He recalled that 105 years had passed since the genocide of the Azerbaijani people. The head of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry stressed that today millions of Azerbaijanis honor the memory of the victims of those events and once again call for an end to impunity in order to prevent such crimes.
