The First Lady of Azerbaijan and President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Mehriban Aliyeva, has met with French President Francois Hollande at the Élysée Palace, AzerTAc reports.
French President Francois Hollande thanked the First Lady of Azerbaijan for her participation in the cultural events organized in Paris.
Noting the great potential of the relations between the two countries, Francois Hollande said that France and Azerbaijan have developed successful relations in the economic and energy, information and communication technologies, aerospace industry and agricultural spheres.
Hollande expressed interest in further expanding relations between France and Azerbaijan and expressed confidence that bilateral relations would continue to develop successfully.
Mehriban Aliyeva stressed that the deepening of Azerbaijani-French relations is an important area of foreign policy of the country. The President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation said that such cultural projects have been implemented in almost 25 regions of France, and more than ten cities of Azerbaijan and France have established friendly and fraternal relations.
Mehriban Aliyeva expressed hope that France will continue to act from a position of resolving the conflict within the territorial location of Azerbaijan and international law. Francois Hollande stressed that France is interested in the settlement of this conflict.
