Members of bandit underground detained in Dagestan

Participants in a so-called "sleeping" unit of bandit underground, related to the Islamic State (IS, Daesh) were detained on Sunday, the National Anti-Terror Committee said, TASS reports.

"The group united four residents of (the North Caucasus') Dagestan, who plotted crimes against authorities and law enforcers," the Committee's information center said.

One of the militants was killed in retaliatory fire, three others were detained.

"We have information, they all were members of a so-called sleeping unit, having relations with IS, and had been involved in attacks on the locals," the Committee said.
